Location: Chicago, IL

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The American Osteopathic Information Association (AOiA) sits at the intersection of osteopathic medicine and healthcare innovation. With connections to over 200,000 osteopathic physicians and medical students, AOiA is dedicated to amplifying osteopathic voices across the digital health landscape. We support the advancement of the osteopathic field and its providers by directing resources toward the development and deployment of healthcare technology and digital health innovation. Our goal is to empower physicians with the right tools to enhance and elevate the quality of care delivered to patients.

AOiA has established multiple programs to support and accelerate digital health innovation and physician development for the osteopathic community:

  • Digital Health Innovation Community of Practice (CoP) educational opportunities and resource creation
  • Digital Health Innovation Volunteer Programs, including our Steering Committee, Work Groups & Forums
  • Emerging DO Platform — a digital community built by DOs, for DOs, offering resources for mentorship, residency insights, career development, and peer connection across every stage of the osteopathic career journey

As an intern with AOiA, you will contribute to the development and operational implementation of these programs and emerging digital health initiatives, including supporting the Emerging DO Platform's mission to connect, engage, and empower the next generation of osteopathic physicians. You will gain hands-on experience in healthcare innovation, strengthening project and program management skills, and building meaningful networking opportunities. This internship is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of digital health in the osteopathic profession.

The AOiA Intern will work closely with the Digital Health Innovation team, AOiA team members, external subject matter expert volunteers, and support key relationships with the AOiA Board of Directors, AOA (American Osteopathic Association), American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF), and affiliate members/organizations of the AOA.

This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $22/hour, averaging approximately 20 hours per week, with at least one day per week required in our Chicago office. When applying please include a copy of your resume and most recent transcript.
